Feeling sore...

Permalink 07:56:27 pm, Categories: General

I’m feeling pretty sore today from the past two days work. Two days ago I helped my friend Carl pack up because he’s moving (well he already moved, he left yesterday), and then yesterday I helped unload the truck into his new house. It was a lot of heavy lifting so my legs are feeling a bit of pain.

Anyways, Carl’s new house looks really similar to his old house. It’s about an hour away from me now, all the way in Middletown, which is quite a distance compared to his old house being 5 minutes away from me. I’m glad I got to help him move since it’s probably one of the last few times I’ll see him before school starts up.

One funny thing on the trip up to his new house yesterday was we wanted to see if Carl’s mom could really read Braille like she said she could. So Carl, my friend Garrett, and I went to McDonalds to get a Braille menu, and one of the workers there thought I was blind since I had my sunglasses on. The funny thing is I still had the car keys in my hand so it’s like “yea, I’m blind and I’m driving?” They ended up giving us the Braille menu but we didn’t get a chance to see if Carl’s mom could read it.

After helping Carl move yesterday, his parents treated Garrett and I to dinner at this Chinese buffet. It was pretty good, I ended up eating a real lot. I probably had more calories at dinner than I had all of last week. His parents also paid both of us $40 for helping them move, even though we told them we would have done it for free. So after dinner, Garrett and I left the buffet and took our trip back home, tired and sore.

Drive-In: Two boring movies

Permalink 05:27:02 pm, Categories: General

Last night I went to the drive-in with a pretty decent sized crowd of friends, there was probably about 10-12 of us. Anyways, the two movies that were playing at the drive-in were Mama Mia and Hellboy II.

I knew from the start that Mama Mia was going to suck, and it’s definitely not a movie I was hoping to sometime see, but I figured Hellboy II would be worth seeing.

Anyways, as Mama Mia started, I could feel my manhood being stripped from me. However, my friend Carl made some funny remarks during the movie so it made what should have felt like 4 hours into 3 hours. After Mama Mia was over, I figured Hellboy II would be a nice action-packed movie to gain my manhood back. I was wrong, the movie wasn’t entertaining at all and some of my friends were even talking about leaving during it because it simply wasn’t worth it.

We ended up leaving the drive-in at around 12:30 AM, disappointed with the movies we saw. Personally I think we should have went to see The Dark Knight and Journey to the Center of the Earth at the other drive-in, that would have been more entertaining.

New Blog

Permalink 03:00:10 pm, Categories: General

This is my first post on my new blog. I’m pretty bad at keeping blogs up to date, but I’m giving it another attempt :). If I don’t make a post in a while, just send me an email or something so I remember to keep this blog updated about my life.

Anyways, I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Justin Fyffe, and I’ll be a freshman at Binghamton University this fall. I am majoring in computer science since that has been my interest for quite a long time now. I like to web design and am currently running the website, Free To Game, which is a new website still under construction. I also enjoy playing some video games, you can find me usually on either Team Fortress 2 (Steam: jfyffe) or Call of Duty 4 (Alias: PwrUps).

So I hope to update this blog more often than before (which was almost like never after the 3rd or 4th post). Enjoy :).
